Pokemon Center Shibuya, which just opened its door a couple days ago, has one of the coolest displays I have ever seen: a full blown giant Mewtwo inside an incubation chamber. The display is absolutely gorgeous, with cool steel and blue futuristic aesthetics which are somewhat based off the chamber's design in the first Pokemon movie (the colors are a bit different however):

It's amazing to see even the air bubbles forming in the chamber using a screen on the back of it. The tweet itself was posted by Tokyo Fashion during the grand opening of the storefront, which is located in Parco Shibuya.

Pokemon Center Shibuya commemorated its grand opening with some excellent merch. Said goodies are based on exclusive “Graffiti” themed artwork of the mascot Pikachu and include plushies, clothes, keychains, and more. The storefront also opened the same day as Nintendo Tokyo, so its selling collaboration Mario merch made out of Pokemon sprite art, while Nintendo Tokyo is selling Pokemon merch made up of Mario sprite.

And another collaboration with Swarovski features a brand new and absolutely stunning "Crystal Stone" collection. There’s a large Pikachu decked out in tons of Swarovski crystals, bag charms with Poke Ball and Pikachu motifs, smartphone cases designed with Mewtwo and Mew, and a Pokemon card game deck case made of genuine leather.

In recent news, Pokemon Sword and Shield are already the eighth best-selling Nintendo Switch games of all time at six million units sold during its launch weekend alone. Check out pictures of the game's launch event held at Nintendo NYC.

A trailer introduces items that made their debut including mints, Exp. Candy, nutrition drinks, and Pokemon boxes for on the go ‘Mon storage. Elsewhere, there’s currently a Pokemon Center London popup store that’s selling strictly Pokemon merchandise. And the only other Nintendo store is located in New York, US.

Recently a stylish 25th anniversary Pikachu watch was revealed, as part of a collaboration between Japanese watch brand BABY-G and The Pokemon Company, which reveals a constant: that great Pikachu merch will continue to flow from our corporate overlords.
