Pokemon Go's second Spotlight Hour for the month of August is all set to feature the female version of Nidoran, and fans are eagerly looking forward to the event.

Niantic has been facing some backlash when it comes to the Spotlight Hours lately, and it seems like they are finally stepping up their game. This week we have a female Nidoran which is rarer Pokemon as compared to the ones we have seen in the past few weeks. As always, the Spotlight Hour will start at 6 pm according to your local time, and it will be lasting until 7 pm local time. During the event, players will be able to see female Nidoran more often in the wild, so it is a really good opportunity to catch the Pokemon and accumulate some candies if you don't have them.

The bonus for this week is twice the amount of XP for catching Pokemon. If you are looking for a way to level up quickly, then this can be utilized for the same. Considering that you get twice the XP for catching all Pokemon and not only female Nidoran, it makes it much easier to accumulate XP and level up.

When it comes to the shiny status of the Pokemon, fans would be elated to know that a shiny female Nidoran does exist in Pokemon Go. Unlike some of the other shiny Pokemon, the shiny variant of the female Nidoran isn't much different from the regular one, so you might have some difficulty spotting it. Shiny rates aren't boosted in the game, but you still have a better chance to get a shiny since the overall spawn rate increases. Happy
