When Is Pokemon GO December Community Day 2021?

Pokemon GO December Community Day 2021 takes place this weekend only, December 18 and 19. However, the event does not take place all day long, but rather between the hours of 11:00 am local time and 5:00 pm local time each day like with most every Community Day.

When it comes to the December Community Day 2021 Special Research Story though, you have a little more flexibility. By purchasing the ticket for the Special Research Story on either of the two days, it will then be added to your collection of tasks in the game.

By having the tasks in your collection, they will not expire at the end of Community Day on Sunday, December 19 at 5:00 pm local time. Based on some of the tasks though, you would be wise to work on them now rather than save them or it’s going to be a grind and a lot of luck to get them finished in a timely manner otherwise.

December Community Day 2021 Special Research Story Tasks and Rewards

The Pokemon GO December Community Day 2021 Special Research is made up of four steps each with three tasks to complete. Like many of these though, the fourth step simply tasks you with claiming rewards, so there’s really only three steps to worry about here this weekend.

Thanks to LeekDuck, we know the full list of tasks and rewards that you can see below.

Step 1

  • Power up Pokemon 10 times – 10x Poke Balls
  • Catch 10 Pokemon featured during 2021’s Community Days – 10x Razz Berries
  • Make 5 Nice Throws – 1,500 XP
  • Rewards – 1,000 Stardust, 10x Pinap Berries, 1x Sinnoh Stone

Step 2

  • Transfer 10 Pokemon – 10x Ultra Balls
  • Catch 15 Pokemon featuring during 2021’s Community Days – 1,500 XP
  • Evolve 3 Pokemon – 1,500 Stardust
  • Rewards – 1,000 Stardust, 1x Poffin, 1x Incense

Step 3

  • Make 3 Great Curveball Throws – 10x Pinap Berries
  • Catch 15 Pokemon featured during 2021’s Community Days – 1x Sinnoh Stone
  • Transfer 15 Pokemon – 1x Elite Fast TM
  • Rewards – 1,000 XP, 1,000 Stardust, 1 Rocket Radar

Step 4

  • Claim Reward! – 10x Pinap Berries
  • Claim Reward! – 1,500 XP
  • Claim Reward! – 1x Elite Charged TM
  • Rewards – 1,000 Stardust, 1,000 XP, 3x Rare Candy

While you technically can complete this one after Community Day, you will definitely want to try and do it this weekend for the middle task of each step alone. Best of luck and have a great Pokemon Go December Community Day 2021.
