With Halloween in full swing, it seems only fitting that Pokémon Go would unleash a wave of creepy creatures to coincide with the holiday through a timed event.Announced yesterday via the official Pokémon Go blog, there will be a torrent of dark and ghost type pokémon joining the ranks of the game's fourth generation. Among those available during the game's seasonal event are Skuntank's pre-evolution Stunky, along with the mysterious ghost/flying type Drifloon which sports one of the more unsettling pokédex entries depicting how it steals children away an drags them into the afterlife. This certainly suits the tome of the season. There is also a chance for trainers to get involved in Professor Willow's latest Field Research endeavors. This time they center around a mysterious stone and a dark/ghost type pokémon. Undoubtedly, this points towards the inclusion of the Sinnoh region's vortex-like SpiritombThe mighty legendary pokémon Giratina has also made its debut appearance within the Pokémon Go. The cover-star of Pokémon: Platinum Version, a more fleshed out rendition of Pokémon: Diamond Version and Pokémon: Pearl Version on Nintedno DS, is currently available to take on in Raid Battles. On top of this, there are also new avatar customization items available from the in-game Style Shop including a Gengar backpack, a Spiritomb t-shirt, and an absolutely adorable Drifloon hat.
