Pokemon GO Halloween Event Part 1 Start Date, Time, Spawns & Bonuses

The Halloween event was the first major event to hit Pokemon GO when the game launched all the way back in 2016.

It saw players earn boosted candy, as well as have the opportunity to catch spooky Pokemon, including the Gastly family, the Cubone family and the Zubat family.

While the game has come a long way since then, the Halloween event is still a cornerstone in the game’s yearly calendar.

So, to help you prepare, here are the details of the first part of this year’s Pokemon GO Halloween event, including the start date, time, spawns and bonuses.

Pokemon GO 2021 Halloween Event Part One Start Date and Time

This year, the Halloween event is split into two parts, with the first part being titled “Creepy Companions”.

It kicks off this Friday, October 15 at 10 am local time, running for a week until 10 am local time on Friday, October 22.

Two-week Bonuses

The following bonuses will be live for the full two-week duration of the Halloween event:

  • 2x Catch Candy
  • 2x Hatch Candy
  • 2x Transfer Candy
  • Guaranteed Candy XL when walking with Buddy Pokemon
  • Special “What Lies Beneath the Mask” Research Story.
  • New Avatar Items
  • Spooky Bundles in the Item Shop

Pokemon GO 2021 Halloween Event Part One Spawns and Egg Hatches

The Creepy Companions section of the Halloween event will focus on Psychic and Poison-type Pokemon.

One of the main draws is the fact that Galarian Slowpoke will be able to evolve into Galarian Slowking for the first time ever.

In the wild, players will have the opportunity to encounter the following boosted Pokemon:

  • Drowzee
  • Gastly
  • Gothita
  • Misdreavus
  • Pikachu (Costumed)
  • Piplup (Costumed)
  • Shuppet
  • Spinarak
  • Stunky
  • Woobat
  • Zubat

The following Spooky Pokemon will also be hatching from 7KM Eggs during the event:

Tier One Rarity:

  • Chingling
  • Litwick
  • Misdreavus
  • Shuppet
  • Spinarak

Tier Two Rarity:

  • Galarian Yamask
  • Golett
