Been wondering why Niantic have been so awful at responding to Pokémon GO fans? Well, turns out that’s because they don’t actually have a Pokémon GO community manager. Yes, really.
Andrew Krug, global community manager at Niantic Labs revealed on Twitter that he has no involvement with the Pokémon GO community and that his involvement is with Ingress only (Niantic’s other augmented reality app).

No, your eyes do not deceive you: One of the biggest games to release this year so far has no community manager. It’s truly mind-boggling to think that nobody during the lead up to the game’s release thought “hey, this game is going to be massive, right? We should probably hire somebody to deal with millions of fans across many social networks, right?”
Niantic have clearly noticed their… mishap and are now apparently hiring for the position.
