Pokemon Go fans got a surprise research task today, and many are curious to learn more about it.

Barely a few games out there could match the consistency of Pokemon Go. The game gets a series of events, research tasks, and a lot more every month, and that keeps the fan base always engaged.

This month was quite a happening month for the game, as a new Pokemon movie was released. As a result, we had a movie tie-in event in the game, which was enjoyed by quite a large number of fans as well.

Recently, players saw that a limited research task was available for them to complete, giving them some exciting rewards. At first, many thought it was a glitch because the tasks were insanely straightforward while the rewards were quite good. However, it was eventually revealed that it was pretty much a gift from miHoYo, in response to the bug which prevented players from evolving Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowking.

Pokemon GO October Limited Research Tasks and Rewards

Here are the tasks and the rewards of the October Limited Research.

• Catch a Pokemon: x10 PokeBall
• Catch 3 Pokemon: x50 Slowpoke Candy
• Catch 5 Pokemon: x1 Incense
• Rewards: Galarian Slowpoke, x1,000 Stardust, and 1,000 XP

As you can see, the tasks are quite easy. Firstly, you need to catch a Pokemon, and that will reward you with 10 Pokeballs. Do note that it can be any Pokemon. Similarly, you have to then catch 3 and 5 Pokemon, and you will get x50 Slowpoke Candy and x1 Incense respectively for each of the tasks. Once you have completed all these tasks, you will be getting Galarian Slowpoke, x1000 Stardust, and x1000 XP.
