Niantic is bringing a number of new Field Research tasks and rewards along with a new breakthrough encounter for the month of September.
This month also marks the start of a new Season, the Season of Light, as it centered around the Legendary Nebula Pokemon Cosmog. There is long special research taking place as part of the new season, with new parts of the quest unlocking over the span of three months. Players will be getting a number of rewards for completing the quests, starting with a Cosmog encounter, followed by the evolutions of Cosmog in the later stages of the research.
Apart from the Special Research, there is the regular Field Research as well which will be awarding players with new Pokemon (including shiny ones) for completing a few tasks. The research breakthrough for this month is Medicham, the Meditate Pokemon. Here are all the tasks and rewards of the Research Breakthrough.
