As Pokemon GO's Charge Up event finishes, the Weather Week begins.

Along with it are a bunch of new spawns, raids and egg Pokemon, plus, the fourth Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour.

This time, in the spotlight, is the Pond Skater Pokemon, Surskit and by default, it's evolution, Masquerain. Players taking part in the event will get 2x Catch Exp, so it's a great chance to edge closer to levelling up.

The big question is though, are Surskit and its evolution Masquerain shiny during tonight’s Spotlight Hour?

What does shiny Surskit and shiny Masquerain look like?

Sadly, shiny Surskit doesn't really undergo any major changes in its shiny form, its evolution Masquerain on the other hand gets a fairly exciting palate swap.

Surskit itself goes from a light blue colour to a slightly darker blue, whereas Massquerain's pale blue body turns bright green, along with its previously red wingtips.

Is shiny Surskit and shiny Masquerain available during the Spotlight Hour?

Unfortunately not. For the first time this month, the featured Pokemon in the Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour isn't shiny. Despite joining the game back in 2018, Surskit is one of the few Generation 3 Pokemon yet to have its shiny form released.

Surskit breaks the Kanto Spotlight Hour chain, joining Krabby, Drowzee and Voltorb in the limelight this month. It also breaks the chain of shiny availability, being the first to in the spotlight without its shiny form having yet released.
