Pokemon GO’s Water Festival Event Makes a Splash with Totodile, Lapras, Squirtle, and More
Pokemon GO is ringing in the warmer weather with the new Water Festival event that will increase the sightings of Squirtle, Magikarp, Lapras, and more.
With the weather starting to warm up in time for spring, the mobile hit Pokemon GO is looking to make a splash with the game’s newly-announced Water Festival, which should be an enticing new event for fans of Water-type Pokemon or Water Gym Leaders-in training.
Developer Niantic, Inc. announced in an update that Pokemon GO‘s latest event is starting today with the Water Festival, which will increase the occurrence of Water-type Pokemon such as Totodile, Magikarp, Squirtle, and their Evolutions all across the world, with there even being the chance at catching a rare Pokemon like Lapras.
In addition to the increased amount of Water Pokemon that will be popping up around the world, Niantic also revealed that a special limited edition Magikarp Hat wardrobe item will be available to players during the run of the event.
The Water Festival event in Pokemon GO will be running today from 1pm PT until March 29th, 2017 at 1pm.
