Serebii.net has reported from CoroCoro that Pokemon Rumble U will be making its way to stores in Japan on April 24th.
To accompany this news, the gae will feature the first support for NFC by allowing gamers to import Pokemon based on figures purchased. Figures will launch the same time as the game and will be able to be trained with battle information recorded onto the figure. When the game releases there will be a set of six standard figures and one special figure.
Pokemon is the next to follow the new craze started by Skylanders with actual figures being able to be purchased and imported into the game world. Disney also has jumped in the fray with Disney Infinity that features characters from various Disney franchises. It only makes sense that Nintendo would consider going this route with Pokemon since the franchise features almost 700 various creatures.
No information on if these figures will be making their way over to the west. Given the popularity of Skylanders, it would be strange for Nintendo to skip out on an opportunity like this.
