Pokemon Legends Arceus is quite unique for the series in that it is allowing you to pick between one of three starters from across multiple generations, which now will be having brand new Hisuian final evolutions.

One of the new features that the last few Pokemon generations have introduced are region-specific forms with both the Alolan and Galar forms of Pokemon we already know.

While Pokemon Legends Arceus takes place in a past version of the Sinnoh Region known as Hisui, we are still getting a number of new Hisuian forms and that includes the final evolution for all three starters.

Who Are The Starters?

The three starters in Pokemon Legends Arceus come from the second, fifth, and sixth generations respectively with Cyndaquil, Oshawott, and Rowlet.

Cyndaquil fulfills the typical Wire type starter and will stay that way with its evolution Quilava, but where it really changes is with the final evolution Typhlosion.

Next up is Oshawott, which serves as the Water type starter of the bunch and maintains that typing with its evolution Dewott. However, the final evolution of Samurott is quite different this time around with its new Hisuian form.

Lastly comes Rowlet, who is the usual Grass starter of the group, though it technically is a Grass/Flying type Pokemon and keeps that same dual typing in its evolution Dartrix. It's original final evolution Decidueye switched things up in the past by becoming a Grass/Ghost type, but now it is getting yet another typing to replace the Ghost half in the Hisui Region.

What Are The New Hisuian Starters Final Evolution Types?

With Pokemon Legends Arceus, all three of the starters' final evolutions have different typings than the original with their new Hisuian forms. For Typhlosion and Samurott it gains an additional typing, while Dedicueye replaces the secondary Ghost typing with a different ones.

Hisuian Typhlosion now becomes a Fire/Ghost type Pokemon with this new form, which has it looking much more chill than its regular form with a little color change.

The Hisuian form of Samurott is pretty similar in that it isn't a drastic change in look other than colors, but it still looks cool regardless. With this new form, it is now a Water/Dark type too, which makes it similar to Greninja.

Hisuian Decidueye is the one that really has changed a lot though, with a red design instead of green among a number of other things. Instead of the prior Grass/Ghost typing, this new form for Decidueye is now Grass/Fighting as well.
