Pokémon are people’s friends, always friendly and kind to their owners! Some Pokémon take this a step further by being kind to everyone they come across such as Chansey or Teddiursa. Pokémon are our best friends, right?

RELATED Pokémon That Would Make The Worst Roommates

Well sadly, not all Pokémon are this nice as some either don’t want to be around people, cause lots of trouble, or even try to hurt people. Actually, according to the Pokédex, quite a lot of Pokémon aren’t as nice as you would like them to be. While we won’t look at the worst of them, we are going to look at the most mischievous of the bunch and which ones are going to be trying to steal from you!

10 Meowth

Meowth

Perhaps the most famous of greedy Pokémon, Meowth is capable of their fair share of theft. Like most cats, Meowth is fascinated by shiny objects and thus sometimes resorts to a bit of theft.

Meowth wanders the streets in search of shiny coins like the one on their head to hoard themselves and play with. Though unlike the other thieves on this list, Meowth taking something that belongs to someone is more of an accident rather than anything malicious.

9 Klefki

Klefki

The last Pokémon you would expect to steal from you, the set of living keys! Despite their small size and unassuming appearance, Klefki has quite the habit of theft as it is known to sneak into people’s homes and take their keys for their collection.

But, as much harm as this may do, Klefki has no ill intentions as it takes the keys out of pure love for them and collecting. In fact, this habit turns out to be helpful for some who want to keep keys safe by giving them to Klefki who is sure to never give it back.

8 Sableye

Sableye

From the least obvious thief to one with a literal eye for shiny jewels, Sableye doesn’t try to hide their nature at all. This Pokémon absolutely loves jewels and will do anything to get them, so theft is certainly possible for this.

But Sableye also doesn’t mean much harm as it looks for gems so much because that’s all it can eat! So, it has a good reason to steal rings and jewelry… Though those good intentions are kind of gone when they also will steal souls when people look at it. But you win some, you lose some.

7 Purrloin

Purrloin

Cats are known for their mischief and Purrloin is no exception to that rule. This feline Pokémon is known for its devious and manipulative behavior as they are a master of hiding in plain sight.

Their method of getting away with theft is the way most cats get out of trouble, just by being cute. They use their adorable face to make people lower their guard and then take whatever they can just for the sake of it! And sometimes it goes a step further by just attacking with sharp claws.

6 Malamar

Malamar

Whereas most Pokémon still have good intentions or reasons for their behavior, Malamar is one who is just plain evil. This cruel and sadistic squid is involved in many immoral acts, especially in the anime.

This is due to its powerful hypnosis ability which it and its trainers use for all sorts of things like theft, manipulation, or much, much worse. The only reason Malamar isn’t higher is simply that stealing isn’t quite Malamar’s style, they’re more likely to just kill you. They’re simple like that.

5 Rotom

Rotom

Less on the taking side of stealing and more on the destructive side is the energy imp, Rotom. This Pokémon is known both for its mischief and its incredible electrical power, able to take control of various devices.

It’ll often go to people’s homes and take over appliances simply to cause havoc and damage for no reason at all. It doesn’t even bother to steal things technically, just burns your clothes, destroys your flowers, and freezes all your water. Whether that makes it better or worse in terms of theft is up for interpretation.

4 Impidimp

Impidimp

Is it any surprise the literal demon imp is one of the biggest thieves? Impidimp is known for breaking into people’s houses, stealing items, and causing general mischief.

They do this mostly to just annoy the occupant in question as this is actually how they fuel themselves. Impidimp lives off of negative energy from people so stealing and ruining things is the easiest way for them to get that.

3 Spiritomb

Spiritomb

While these other Pokémon may have stealing in their nature, Spiritomb was created as a result of its thievery. This ghost Pokémon was made from the spirits of 108 people as a way to seal them away for their mischievous nature.

So, if having one thief is bad, Spiritomb has you dealing with 108, and it can spread that nature according to the anime, making other people cause misdeeds for it by possession. As if that wasn’t bad enough, it can easily go on rampages if it loses a spirit, so good luck dealing with it.

2 Hoopa

Hoopa

Hoopa is a Legendary known for its mischief, so it's no surprise to see them up this high. This Pokémon is perhaps the worst thief to have after your stuff because Hoopa holds insane levels of power, so there’s no stopping it.

The hoop Pokémon can steal things in an instant if they catch its fancy, one throw through a ring to send it to another place. And it certainly likes to steal lots as one Pokédex entry claims it once stole an entire castle! So, your wallet is no match for Hoopa.

1 Nickit

Nickit

This Pokémon needs almost no explanation as it decides to put its thieving nature straight into its name. Nickit is a sneaky little fox with a habit of stealing from anyone who crosses their path, even having a rivalry with Purrloins over stealing.

These Pokémon center their survival around their theft as it’s their one method of getting food for themselves. And they certainly have the means to do it as their paws make them completely silent. It’s not a matter of if Nickit will steal from you, but when.
