Let’s face it. You either are or know someone who has been waiting for a Pokémon game to come to Nintendo Switch before picking up the handheld console. It looks like it is that person’s lucky day, because a spiffy new Pikachu & Eevee Edition Nintendo Switch has just been revealed.
First seen in the Nintendo video below, the Pikachu & Eevee Edition Nintendo Switch has really got a ton of great customization. To start, the Nintendo Switch dock has a couple of illustrations of Pikachu and Eevee–the signature Pokémon in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! On top of that, each Joy-Con is matching color-wise to the respective Pokémon. The Left Joy-Con sports a light brown, while the Right Joy-Con is the signature yellow. And the best touch (in my opinion) is a custom back that has shadow images of both Eevee and Pikachu.
Of course, a decorative Nintendo Switch is not the only thing you get in this package. Also included is your choices of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! . And in addition to that, the Poké Ball Plus–the game’s dedicated peripheral–is thrown into the mix. That has typically been about $100 bundle, so whose to say how pricey this bundle may end up.
If you are hoping to pick up your first Switch (or swap out your current one), you can expect these to become available on November 16, 2018. At what price point, we don’t know yet.
This isn’t the first news about the double-pack Pokémon games, as we found out over the weekend that surfing Pikachu will be making a reappearance.
Although the Switch is not yet available, you can pre-order Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! right now from Amazon. Both games launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch on November 16, 2018. Meanwhile, check out the Pikachu & Eevee Edition Nintendo Switch trailer below:
