After today's exciting Pokemon Presents stream that revealed projects such as New Pokemon SnapPokemon Cafe, and the glorious Pokemon Smile, perhaps the biggest announcement of all came at the very end of this presentation.

To close out today's showing, The Pokemon Company president and CEO Tsunekazo Ishihara revealed that there is one more thing that the developer wants to reveal. "That's all for today's announcements, but, there is another big project we're working on that I want to share with you," Ishihara said to end the stream. No hints were given as to what this mysterious title might be, but we did learn when we'll hear about it, and it's far sooner than you might think.

Yes, an entirely new Pokemon Presents showing is set to take place one week from today on June 24, 2020. It is here that Ishihara says that The Pokemon Company will unveil what this "big project" is to the world, which is extremely exciting. A specific time for this showcase has not been given just yet, but logic would probably tell us that it will transpire at the same point as today's presentation, which kicked off at 9am EST/6am PST.

So just what could this new game be that The Pokemon Company plans to unveil? Well, the fact that Ishihara is hyping this up to be some sort of major title seems to indicate that we might be due to learn what the next mainline Pokemon game will be. However, as past history in the franchise has shown, The Pokemon Company typically follows the start of a new generation, which they kicked off last year with Sword and Shield, with the release of a new series of remakes from past Pokemon titles. We've seen this previously with games like FireRed and LeafGreenHeartGold and SoulSilver, and Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Assuming that this pattern continues, notably, remakes of Pokemon DiamondPearl, and Platinum have not come about to this point in time, meaning that they could very well be in line to get the modernized touch-up treatment next. This is just my own best guess as to what could be revealed though, so don't get your hopes up too high that this is what's bound to happen.

Regardless of what this major new announcement ends up being, we'll be sure to share it with you here on DualShockers once we learn more.
