Pokémon Scarlet & Violet introduces eight new gym leaders and eight challenges you must face before taking them on. Some are harder than others, but all are fun in their own way. Levincia's gym challenge is a quick game of hide-and-seek.

Iono has enlisted the help of Director Clavell, much to his bemusement, and it's your job to find where he has hidden via the security cameras in Levincia. Don't worry, you won't have to flip through feeds. It's more like a game of Where's Waldo.

Levincia Gym Challenge Answers

Hiding Place One

Director Clavell's first hiding place in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

The first hiding place is pretty simple: Clavell's just sitting at one of the two umbrella tables in plain sight. Once you've found him, you'll face a gym trainer in a Pokémon battle. He's got a level 22 Luxio, so if you have prepared your team to take on Iono this fight will be a piece of cake.

Hiding Place Two

Director Clavell's second hiding place in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

Clavell's second hiding place is quite clever. He's taken the place of the Pokémon Center Nurse, so it can take you a moment to see him. Again, once you find him, you'll have to fight another gym trainer. This guy has a Tynamo and Flaafy, both level 22.

Hiding Place Three

Director Clavell's third hiding place in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

This time, Clavell is hiding in plain sight again, but further away. He's in the boat beneath the battle court. This time when you find him, you'll proceed to Iono's fight.

Iono's Fight

Her Team

Iono has a team of four. Wattrel, Belibolt, and Luxio are all level 23, and her Mismagius is level 24 and terastallizes into an Electric-Type. Wattrel is also Flying-type, so Ground-Type attacks won't help you against it.

Thankfully, Wattrel is weak against Rock-Type attacks so make sure one of your Pokémon knows a Rock-Type attack or two. Mismagius will be weak to Ground-Type when it terastallizes, so you won't have to worry about it.

Strategies

If you're looking for a good Ground-Type Pokémon, or a Pokémon that can learn Ground-Type moves, there are several easily catchable near Levincia. There are Sandygast roaming the beach south of the city, and north of the city there are scores of diglet and dugtrio around the construction equipment.

If you have TM 055 Dig, or if any of your Pokémon know it, the move will not only be super effective, but it will also protect your Pokémon from damage while they are underground. TM 028 Bulldoze is also great option, as it does a lot of damage for an early level move.

Once you've defeated Iono, you'll get a commemorative photo, TM 048 Volt Switch, and the Electric Gym Badge. If this is your third gym, Pokémon up to level 30 will now listen to you. If you're ready for your next challenge, you can head to the Steel Titan north of the city and meet up with Arven.
