The latest iteration in the Pokemon franchise, Scarlet & Violet, is slated to release later this year, and a new trailer today has revealed some exciting details about the new Professors in the game.

Announced earlier this year, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet takes the baton from Pokemon Legends: Arceus and makes a number of exciting changes to the franchise. In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, the franchise took an open-world styled approach, which made people call it the Zelda of Pokemon games. Despite the inspirations, Pokemon Legends Arceus was not a fully open-world game, but that is all set to change with Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

One of the most interesting changes in the game, which also happens to be the first for the franchise, is the different Professors for the two versions of the game. In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players will get either Professor Sada or Professor Turo depending on the version of the game they own. Professor Sada is exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet and Professor Turo is exclusive to Pokemon Violet.

From the moment the Professors were revealed, fans have already started gushing over the two professors' appearance. However, there seem to be a lot more differences than just their appearance, if one pays close attention to their details.

Professor Sada sports quite a traditional look with a leather outfit, which is similar to the appearance of the Scarlet Legendary, Koraidon. On the contrary, Professor Turo has a futuristic appearance, and he seems to be wearing some kind of robotic suit. The theme of the outfit resembles Miraidon, which is the Violet Legendary.

In previous Pokemon games, we have witnessed the legendaries having absolutely opposite features, but the same wasn't revealed in detail for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. However, when we look at the two legendaries in light of the Professors, it becomes quite obvious that this game will be targeting a past vs future theme. How this will work is yet to be seen, but it has definitely got fans excited for the next installment in the franchise.
