Pokemon Series Director Announces Sequels to Black and White

Pokemon series director Junichi Masuda just announced a first for the Pokemon franchise. Direct sequels to Black and White for the DS are currently in development and will release in June in Japan. Their titles? Pokemon Black 2  and White 2. The games will be released on Nintendo’s DS handheldThe announcement came as the long-time series composer, programmer and director revealed two new forms of one of the series’ legendary monsters.

Masuda went on Japanese Pokemon-centric television show Pokemon Smash to make the reveal. While most of us were expecting an announcement of Pokemon Gray, this came completely out of left field. Well, what do you think?
