With just a few weeks to go, Pokemon fans around the world are eager to jump in to the latest generation of the monster-catching series with the upcoming Pokemon Sun & Moon coming in November: luckily, the game’s recently-released demo shows that anticipation for the new games are already at an all-time high.

Nintendo announced in a press release that the demo of Pokemon Sun & Moon – which originally released on October 18th, 2016 – has collected over 3.5 million downloads since releasing on the 3DS eShop for free.

Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima revealed that the Pokemon Sun & Moon demo so far has been the “fastest start for any demo in the history of the Nintendo 3DS system,” with the downloads showing the “breadth of the audience for these games” in a banner year for Pokemon, coming from the series’ 20th anniversary celebrations this year and from the release of Pokemon GO this summer.

Pokemon Sun & Moon will release for Nintendo 3DS on November 18th, 2016.
