During the Pokémon World Championships, the official Pokémon Twitter announced that a demo for Pokkén Tournament DX would be "coming soon" to the Nintendo eShop.

No official release date for the demo was given. It'll probably be out once the official event is over. Also, regions for the demo were not specified, so it's unclear whether or not the demo will be exclusive to North America.

Pokkén Tournament DX is a remaster of Wii U's Pokkén Tournament. It's the second title to come to the Switch from the Wii U's library, the first being Mario Kart 8 DX. The game is being developed by Bandai Namco and blends fighting mechanics from the Tekken series with Pokémon. It'll include new monsters from the Japanese arcade version of Pokkén including  Darkrai, Croagunk, Empoleon, Scizor, and Decidueye.

Nintendo just revealed a new trailer showcasing some of the new and returning Pokémon in the game. You can also check out a ton of footage from E3 earlier this summer.

Pokkén Tournament DX is coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch on September 22. You can read our review for the Wii U version of the game.
