Announced during today's Nintendo Direct Mini, the Pokemon fighting game Pokken Tournament DX is receiving new fighters and support sets through the game's Battle Pack DLC.

The paid content will be released in two waves. Wave 1 will include the multi-formed Aegislash and support set featuring Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu; Wave 2 flaunts water cannon wielding tortoise Blastoise with a support set of Mew and Celebi. Additionally, the Battle Pack will include avatar items that are available today with the purchase of the DLC.

Pokken Tournament initially released on consoles in March 2016 for the Wii U. Pokken Tournament DX released for the Nintendo Switch last September which brought new modes and playable characters to the vibrant fighter.

The Pokken Tournament DX Battle Pack is available to purchase right now. Wave 1 will launch on January 31st, 2018 and Wave 2 will be available on March 23rd, 2018. You can check out our review to see what we thought of the Pokemon fighting game.
