If you've been hoping for more things to do in Pokkén Tournament DX then it's your lucky day. Today developer Bandai Namco Studios and the Pokémon Company revealed a brand new update coming to the recently released fighting game.

First and foremost, you and your friends will soon be able to play Team Battles, by picking three different Pokémon each, and fighting against others online. In addition to that, players will now be able to join official groups in Group Match, which in turn will allow them to earn new titles. Finally, youwill be able to record moves that other players make during online matches, which can then be replayed in the game's training mode.

It was also confirmed that a number of different bug fixes and enhancements will be coming when the update drops.

As of the time of this writing, the update does not have a name, nor a release date other than the vague "soon". This is the first major update for the game, so it's nice to see that the developers haven't forgotten about it. We thought the game was pretty good.

Pokkén Tournament DX was officially released September 22nd, 2017, and is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
