Pokemon battles are about to get way more intense with the upcoming crossover fighting game Pokken Tournament, and with the Japanese release of the game nearing this coming March of next year, fighting game enthusiasts looking for a more arcade-friendly controller solution have something to look forward to with a dedicated fight pad for the game.
The Japanese page for Pokken Tournament revealed that a dedicated arcade-styled controller will be released for Pokken Tournament alongside the game’s Japanese release on March 18th, 2016.
Developed by accessory maker Hori, the Wii U fight controller for Pokken Tournament will retail for ¥3,840 (approx. $32 USD) and features a design similar to the controller used in the arcade version of the title, though is only intended as a non-required controller option for the game, as the Wii U version of the game will also support the GamePad, Wii U Pro Controller and Wii Classic Controller Pro to play.
Pokken Tournament is currently available now in Japanese arcades. The Wii U version of the game will release on March 18th, 2016 in Japan, while the US and European release of the game is expected in Spring 2016.
