PopCap Games Announces Unpleasant Horse, First Game Under "4th & Battery" Label

PopCap Games, the masterminds behind Bejeweled, Zuma, and Plants vs Zombies, announced yesterday the formation of a brand new label within their company. Titled “4th & Battery”, this label would be dedicated to more experimental affairs, where devs would have the freedom to create games without “the typical constraints of an established global games publisher.”

The first game they announced was Unpleasant Horse, a mobile game where you control a cutesy badass Pegasus that jumps on other Pegasi’s backs to fly farther. It kinda looks like a cutesy version of Robot Unicorn Attack, and we all know how edgy and experimental that was, so keep an eye out for it.

If you can handle it, that is.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
