Dream has released the finale video of his most popular and well-known series, 'Minecraft Manhunt', in which he goes against 5 of his closest friends and fellow Minecraft creators to see who can take the win this time.
Minecraft, the open-world game with endless possibilities from hardcore worlds to creative mode endeavors is yet again the star medium that enables some of YouTube's top content to be made. This time Dream's infamous video series 'Minecraft Manhunt'.
Dream, the YouTuber/Streamer in question, has been creating his series 'Minecraft Manhunt' for just under 2 years and just over a year for his latest format he's stuck to, progressively adding more creators to hunt him down in Minecraft and kill him before he can complete the game by slaying the Ender Dragon.
The Latest Instalment
In the latest instalment to the series, Dream pits himself against 5 of his closest friends and fellow Minecraft content creators; GeorgeNotFound, Sapnap, BadBoyHalo, Antfrost and Awesamdude for the 3rd and final rematch for the 5 hunters, hinting at a 6th hunter expected for the next instalment of the series.
Always starting all together, speedrunner and hunters as a pack, the first few minutes of every Manhunt video is enough to keep a viewer on the edge of their seat. Within the first minute, all 5 hunters managed to beat Dream down to half a heart of health which isn't helped by him running out of stamina 30 seconds later making you as a viewer almost forget there' still half an hour left and scared that the Manhunt will end just as quickly as it started.
Manhunts are always a place for Dream to show off his clutch plays no matter how early into the video it may be and this instalment is no different with many scattered throughout the video. Dream's insanely quick reaction time is always something fans sing praise about and can you blame them when the clutches seem almost impossible to pull off from managing to 'thread the needle' in a 1x1 block fall or luring his hunters into a trap made to sabotage them all.
Pulling of yet again another crazy stunt, Dream manages to complete his plan of killing the Ender Dragon with his waterfall and bow combo much to the hunter's dismay, especially Awesamdude's, Dream takes the final win of the 'vs 5 Hunters' series for a 2-1 score to him and finishing of the game as he started, on half a heart.
Minecraft Manhunt is a fan favourite
Every Manhunt release always has an air of excitement around it from a majority of fans live-tweeting their reactions in realtime with the premiere to some other fans who create beautiful fanart with crazy speed of some of the silliest moments from the episode, such as this piece being a redraw of the beginning of the video, all 5 hunters surrounding Dream.
The fans don't only just livetweet their viewing experience and get it trending on Twitter, they flock in their millions to not only the latest Manhunt release, in which they garnered a whopping 5 million views within its first 10 hours as well as making it number 1 on Youtube trending. But the fans also rallied to give one of Dream's older Manhunt videos 'Minecraft Speedrunner VS 3 Hunters GRAND FINALE' a boost to 100 million views, making it his most viewed video on his channel whilst waiting for the newest Manhunt to drop.
What's next for the series?
After every 'Minecraft Manhunt' Dream releases an extra scenes video on his second channel, where he and the hunters discuss many things from interesting plays from both parties to making new rules for the next attempt.
Whilst Dream is celebrating his victory the hunters begin to complain about his strategy for winning this round using both a 'stasis chamber' and the waterfall technique to kill the Dragon, to which Dream responds saying they did the same to him 2 rounds ago, hence the 1 loss against them.
With both Dream and the 5 Hunters agreeing to add both of Dream's crafty strategies to the 'Unofficial Minecraft Manhunt' rule book the video comes to a close. Seeing this was a finale episode for 'Minecraft Manhunt' with 5 Hunters the next installment might be vs 6.
