Portal 2 Is On Sale Next Week - Go Get You Some!

So, there was a benefit to all this PSN downtime, after all – it is going to save me $20 on Portal 2. I was going to buy the game last weekend, and I really want it for the PS3. Why? Because then I get a copy of the game for my PC, as well, so when the wife kicks me off the TV, I can still play. Not to mention all my PS3 and PC friends can play together! But, of course, with the PSN being down, I can’t play the PS3 version online, and can’t activate the PC version, so there was no sense in getting it now.

How did that save me $20, you ask? Because if I would have bought it last weekend, I was prepared to drop $60 on the thing. Starting Sunday, however, it will be under $40 at two retailers. K-Mart will have the game for a low, low $34.99. And, if you fancy yourself more of a GameStop person, you’ll be able to pick it up for $39.99 there. GameStop will also have the PC version on the shelf for $29.99 in case Steam scares you and you prefer a physical copy.

PlayStation Network up or not, it’s hard to pass up that deal on a great game that is less than two weeks old. Go get you some, or we’ll sic Allen Park on you, who thinks Portal 2 is better than being sandwiched between two Frag Dolls on a cold night.
