Skyshine and Versus Evil announced today that the fast paced rogue-like Bedlam would be releasing on September 17, 2015 for digital download on PC. Bedlam will cost $19.99 but a 15% discount is currently active dropping it to $16.99. The game is built on the beautiful Banner Saga engine, and mixes turn-based strategy with the popular rogue-like genre. A colorful post-apocalyptic wasteland awaits you, inspired by various action movies such as Mad Max. You will take the role of the Mechanic, in charge of a Dozer carrying various passengers to the mysterious and utopic Aztec city. However, along the way you will have to manage fuel, food, energy, and battle enemy factions throughout your journey.
“The world of Skyshine’s BEDLAM was really born out of the best possible places, the stuff we loved when we were kids. The games, graphic novels and movies we experienced in the 80’s like Mad Max, Heavy Metal and Judge Dredd were all inspirations. We loved games like FTL and XCOM and the rogue-like genre was a perfect fit for what we wanted to accomplish. We have made a game our 14 year old selves would have loved, complete with vomiting monsters, killer robots and gruesomely funny deaths!” John Mueller, Art Director.
Skyshine’s Bedlam will also be playable at PAX Prime in Seattle from August 28-31, at the Versus Evil booth #6608.
