Prey Post-Launch DLC Confirmed; Impossible to See All Alien Powers in One Playthrough
Prey from Dishonored developer Arkane Studios and publisher Bethesda is right around the corner. The highly-anticipated first-person action-adventure game with some science fiction horror elements is set to release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 5th. Despite the launch being still a little over a week away, Creative Director Raphael Colantonio recently talked Prey’s longevity to AListDaily, confirming that the game will have some type of post-release DLC.
Speaking to the outlet at a New York demo event, Colantonio revealed that while Arkane doesn’t have any plans to announce anything yet, the creative director did reveal that the team is “absolutely” working on post-launch DLC, as well as a variety of updates.
Elsewhere in the interview Colantonio revealed that players will need to play the game multiple times in order to play with all the alien powers. This combined with the story branching, adds to the replayability of the game, aka similar to how Dishonored tackles replayability.
As mentioned above, Prey is set to release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 5, 2017. However before it does that, it is receiving a free demo of the first hour of the game on April 27th. The demo will be limited to the console versions of the game.
