Private Division Sign Publishing Agreements With Three Big Indie Studios

These agreements will see a new action RPG from the developers of the Ori, Moon Studios.

Private Division, for those who aren’t aware, is a publishing arm of Take-Two Interactive. Working to compliment Rockstar and 2K, they focus on helping smaller indie studios bring their games to market – most notably publishing The Outer Worlds and Kerbal Space Program: Enhanced Edition.

Looking to expand themselves further, Private division has today announced that they’ve signed publishing agreements with three more indie studios. The studios in question are Moon Studios (Ori and the Blind Forest/Ori and the Will of the Wisps), Roll7 (OlliOlli) and League of Geeks (Armello).

In a statement on their website, Private Division head Michael Worosz said of the agreements:

“Our partnerships with Moon Studios, League of Geeks, and Roll7 continue to enhance Private Division’s roster with more of the game industry’s best creative talent from around the world. We are thrilled to work alongside these experienced developers to provide them with the support needed to propel their creative visions to the next level.”

Ori developers Moon Studios shared some small details about their next game in the post saying that while developing the Ori series for the last ten years “has been a fantastic experience for our team” they were “aiming our sights even higher with a new action RPG”. Given the beautiful nature and polish of Ori and the Will of the Wisps, which was recently confirmed to be getting an Xbox Series X upgrade, plenty of eyes will be on what this action RPG turns out to be.

League of Geeks were equally excited by the partnership saying that it would provide “the opportunity for us to grow our studio alongside our ambitions to create something beyond anything we’ve developed before.”

Completing the trio, Roll7 said that the new partnership with Private Division would allow them to take the “next jump forward in their mission to create awesome, flow state games”

With three new titles now in development for the publishers, the future is looking bright for Private Division.
