The release date of upcoming puzzle adventure Professor Layton And The New World Of Steam may have been revealed ahead of developer Level-5's upcoming Level-5 Vision 2023 livestream. According to a listing on the online store of international retailer Play-Asia, Professor Layton And The New World Of Steam — currently available for preorder — is expected to ship on June 30 of this year.

Although June 30 has historically been used as a placeholder date by various online retailers of video games, there is reason to believe that in this case, June 30, 2023, is indeed the date on which Level-5 intends to launch the game. At the time of this writing, two other upcoming Level-5 titles that were first revealed alongside Professor Layton And The New World Of Steam during last month's Nintendo Direct — thriller RPG DECAPOLICE and whimsical life sim Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Timeare each listed with a "tba" release date on Play-Asia's web store.

If indeed the June 30 release date for Professor Layton And The New World Of Steam is a placeholder, one would resonably expect that Play-Asia's listings of Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time and DECAPOLICE would also share this same placeholder until their release dates can be confirmed. In the same vein, if the release date of the newest Professor Layton title has indeed yet to be confirmed, one could just as reasonably expect its anticipated shipping date to be listed as "tba" alongside DECAPOLICE and Fantasy Life i. Level-5 has yet to make an official statement regarding the release date of Professor Layton And The New World Of Steam, but more information on the upcoming title is incoming nonetheless.

Level-5 has announced in advance that today's Level-5 Vision 2023 showcase will be spotlighting the new Professor Layton game, as well as other upcoming titles including DECAPOLICE, Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, and Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road Of Heroes.

Level-5 Vision 2023 is scheduled for 3AM PT (6AM ET) today, and its total duration currently unknown. All audio will be in Japanese only. However, full English and Traditional Chinese subtitles will be available throughout.
