Have you ever dreamed of a Project IGI remake? Well, it has already happened in Far Cry 5.

If you are an old-school FPS fan, you have probably heard about Project IGI if you haven't played it. A single-player story-driven stealth-based game, where every mission included an infiltration to enemy outposts for sabotaging purposes.

At the time of launch, Project IGI was incredibly popular among PC gamers, but unfortunately, its sequel couldn't reach the same level of popularity.

Almost a few years earlier, it was announced that Toadman Interactive is working on a prequel to the series, called IGI Origins. While the game aims to launch in 2022, a talented fan of the series has decided to recreate the first two entries of the franchise in Far Cry 5 Arcade.

Project IGI Remake in Far Cry 5

The level of details in this genuinely crafted remake is incredible. Every base and object is in the place that it should be. Even the weapons and enemy outfits will remind you of your sweet memories in Project IGI.

Even the zipline is available in the mission, so you can travel faster in the outpost. The only downside to the remake is the fact that it's not playable in full stealth mode as Far Cry 5 doesn't have such capabilities.

For now, only the first mission of both Project IGI and IGI 2 is available to play in Far Cry 5 Arcade. Just search for the games' names and you will find the missions. (Thanks, DSOG!)

The only thing that makes me worry about this valuable remake of IGI in Far Cry 5 is the fact that it might be removed from the game due to licensing problems.

Prior to this, another player had recreated the GoldenEye missions in Far Cry 5 Arcade mode, which has been removed by Ubisoft due to licensing conflict with MGM.

Far Cry 5 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can play it on new consoles through the backward compatibility feature.
