Sega announced the next stream for Project Sakura Wars. The second “Sakura Taisen Imperial Communication Department’s Broadcast” will be held on July 25 at 20:00 JST and last for around one hour and 30 minutes. The stream will be broadcast on YouTube and Periscope. The Periscope link will be published on Sakura Taisen‘s official Twitter slightly before the stream begins.

The stream will include Project Sakura Wars Producer Tetsu Katano, Sega’s Chief Product Officier Toshihiro Nagoshi, and the seiyuu Mami Yamashita as Assistant MC. The stream will most notably reveal Project Sakura Wars‘ battle system for the first time, with Toshihiro Nagoshi playing a battle live.

Project Sakura Wars’ development is handled by the team who developed Valkyria Chronicles 4. And in the first place, the first Valkyria Chronicles game was developed by the team who was in charge of the Sakura Taisen games, and Valkyria Chronicles‘ battle system was based on Sakura Taisen‘s. So it’s very likely Project Sakura Wars‘ battle system will be something similar to Valkyria Chronicles 4‘s battle system.

You can find our full summary of the first stream in a previous article, with an analysis of the gameplay shown. They most notably revealed on that stream that Sumire Kanzaki from Sakura Taisen 1 to Sakura Taisen 4 is coming back, and her seiyuu Michie Tomizawa shared some comments on reprising her role.

Toshihiro Nagoshi recently shared more comments on Project Sakura Wars. You can also read much more on the game with the Famitsu interview of the main staff we’ve covered.
