Project Spark was definitely one of the most curious and enchanting games revealed this year for Xbox One (and also coming to Xbox 360 and PC), with its unique mixture of sandbox elements and Kinect support on the new console. Now however, it looks like the new game will be available to any Xbox 360/Xbox One-owning gamer with or without an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Mike Lescault, the Community Manager for Project Spark, confirmed that the game will not need an Xbox Live Gold membership to be accessed on the Xbox One Reddit forum, where he addressed concerns from participating gamers that the game would not be available without a subscription. Lescault mentioned:

“You do not need an Xbox Live Gold account to play Project Spark. You will not need a Gold subscription to play Project Spark for free on any platform.”

So, how will you explore and create in Project Spark, now that the game will be completely available to anyone without Xbox Live Gold?

Project Spark is set to release for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC at a currently unannounced date.
