Yesterday we reported on Project Wingman, that just launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund additional development.

Less than a day after the opening of the campaign (about sixteen hours) to be precise, the original Kickstarter goal of 35,000 Australian Dollars (which is just north of $26,000) has been passed. At the moment of this writing, the campaign is comfortably sitting on 43,155 Australian Dollars, with 33 days to go on the clock.

Interestingly, the developers did not promise any stretch goals for the moment, and it's unknown whether any will be added down the line or not.

Project Wingman is an arcade-style air combat game apparently inspired by the Ace Combat series, set in a fictional world, mixing real-life fighter jets with quasi-sci-fi secret weapons and giant airships. The development team also plans to fully focus on single player, with no multiplayer feature promised.

For the moment, it's set to release in May 2019 exclusively on PC. If you want to contribute to the campaign, you can do so on Kickstarter.
