Xbox Game Pass Ultimate might already offer one of the best deals in gaming, but somehow, Microsoft is going to be increasing the service's value proposition even more later this year.

In a new message penned by the Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, on the platform's official website, it was announced today that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will gain access to Project xCloud, the new Xbox-based streaming service, entirely for free. In addition, xCloud itself now has an official launch window, with the service slated to go live in just two months in September.

"With cloud gaming in Game Pass Ultimate, you will be able to play over 100 Xbox Game Pass titles on your phone or tablet," Spencer explained in the blog post. "Cloud gaming in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate means your games are no longer locked to the living room. You can connect more than ever with friends and family through gaming. And just like you do with your movie and music streaming services, when cloud gaming launches into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you can continue your game wherever you left off on any of your devices."

Currently, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate gives you access to Microsoft's Xbox Live Gold service to go along with Game Pass subscriptions across both Xbox and PC. The fact that xCloud is now being thrown into that mix and the price for the service isn't increasing (current Ultimate subscriptions retail for $14.99 per month) is pretty darn wild.

All in all, Microsoft has done a wonderful job of setting up its exosystem in this manner, especially prior to the launch of the Xbox Series X console later this holiday season. If you're looking to immerse yourself in the Xbox ecosystem and haven't already done so, the barrier of entry could not be lower at this point.
