Based on a recent leak on ResetEra, we might already have a look at some of the upcoming PS Plus Extra and Premium games in July 2022, including some Assassin's Creed titles.
BlackBate, a leaker on ResetEra who has been pretty accurate with their recent leaks, has shared some new information recently about the games coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in July 2022. Although this isn't the full list of games coming to the service this month, but it already includes big names such as Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade.
Here, you can check out the full list of leaked titles for this month:
- Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade + Episode INTERmission
- Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag
- Assassin's Creed Unity
- Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry
- Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection
- Saints Row IV Re-Elected
- Stray
From the list above, only Stray has been already confirmed by Sony as an official addition to the service in July 2022. Also, regarding the fact that Ubisoft had already revealed that they would be adding more new titles to PS Plus Extra and Premium, the arrival of four Assassin's Creed titles seems to be a fit here.
That being said, you should still take this leak with a grain of salt unless we get the official announcement from Sony that confirms the titles above.
According to Sony's pre-launch plans for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, we should expect an official announcement for July 2022 games at the middle of the month. Earlier this month, the Japanese publisher revealed Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, Arcadegeddon, and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan as the free titles of this month for all tiers of PlayStation Plus, including Essential, Extra, and Premium.
If the leak above turns out to be true, then it could be a great month for PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers as they get to experience Stray for free at Day One (already confirmed), while Final Fantasy 7 Remake is also a great addition to those who missed it in the last generation of consoles.
That being said, the service will probably need more Day One launches to keep up with Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass. We have already talked about how PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass can go head to head with each other in the future, and you can read about it here.
