PS Plus Games For January 2022 Leak Early, Revealing Two PS5 Titles

Starting the year with two PS5 titles!

December 22, 2021

Just like clockwork, the PS Plus games joining the popular subscription service in January 2022 have been leaked a few weeks ahead of schedule.

The leak comes from the French website, Dealabs, which has previously revealed the last few months of PS Plus titles correctly. Although you should still take this information with a pinch of salt until it’s announced by Sony, it’s highly likely that today’s leak is exactly what you should expect to kick off 2022 on PS Plus.

PS Plus Titles For January 2022 Leaked

According to Dealabs, the three games joining PS Plus in January 2022 will be Persona 5 Strikers (PS4), Deep Rock Galactic (PS5/4), and Dirt 5 (PS5/4).

This will mark the first instance that the monthly titles have included two PlayStation 5 versions of a game. Previous months have seen two PlayStation 4 titles and one PlayStation 5 title. Hopefully, this becomes a more frequent pattern moving forward, as fans have often questioned why so many PlayStation 4 titles are included in PS Plus when there are native PlayStation 5 versions that could be included alongside them.

The latest example of this is December’s line-up of games including Mortal Shell for the PS4, but no PS5 version even though a next-gen version was available for purchase.

Plus, this wasn’t the only thing that had fans rattled over the December line-up of games. Godfall: Challenger Edition was included as the PS5 title for the month, but was actually a “demo” version of the original game, sparking outrage from subscribers.

Should today’s leak from Dealabs be true, there shouldn’t be much to complain about. Dirt 5 has only just turned a year old, whilst Persona 5 Strikers and Deep Rock Galactic both received high praise from fans and critics.

With next month including a racing title, first-person shooter, and an action role-playing game, there’s something for everyone to kick-off 2022. Let us know in the comments, are you happy with the line-up of games joining PS Plus in January?
