Not much left from April 2021, which means a new set of PS Plus games is on the way to arrive. Let’s see what games have the highest chances of appearing in the PS Plus May 2021 bundle.

Every month, Sony gives away two PS4 titles along with one PS5 game for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

It has turned into a long-time hobby for us to predict what could be included in each month’s PS Plus bundle, and check out the rumors to find out about the upcoming free games sooner than others.

May 2021 PS Plus Games – Rumors and Leaks

If we are supposed to pick our predictions based on the latest rumors, there are some solid options already available.

The most speculated rumor around the May 2021 PS Plus games is related to Battlefield 5. Most likely, Electronic Arts will tease the next mainline Battlefield game later in May 2021, which makes it a great opportunity for the publisher to start marketing Battlefield 6 by giving away the latest launched entry of the series for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

This could be a nice entry point for some of the gamers who have never played a Battlefield game before.

Although the rumor sounds likely to happen, with the existence of the EA Play subscription on PS4, it might not be a wise move financially. With the announcement of Battlefield 6, probably the number of EA Play subscribers on the various platforms will increase as people want to know more about the series and have a chance to play the previous entries of the franchise.

Aside from Battlefield 5, Civilization VI is the other rumored nominee for the PlayStation Plus library in May 2021. The game has been available on PS4 since 2019, and it could be a good option for 2K Games to get as much income as it can from the game on consoles through the subscription services.

Our Predictions

First of all, let’s talk about the PS5’s PS Plus share. At least one game will be available for PS5 in May 2021 for free through the PS Plus subscription, and we think there’s a high chance for Call of the Sea to be that title.

The PS4 and PS5 versions of the game are supposed to release in May 2021. Following the same policy of the last few months, Call of the Sea could be another new launch that directly heads to PS Plus on day one.

Now, let’s talk about our PS4 picks. Among the rumors above, it sounds likely to get Civilization VI as a PlayStation Plus free game next month. The game was rumored to be included in April’s list, but it would probably be available in May 2021 PS Plus bundle.

Strategy games don’t get as much attention as they receive on PC. So, 2K Games probably won’t miss the chance to earn more from its critically-acclaimed franchise on consoles.

On the other hand, we believe that an Electronic Arts game is likely to present as a part of the May 2021 PS Plus show, but instead of Battlefield 5, it would Star Wars Squadrons. The game headed to the Xbox Game Pass and EA Play services a few months earlier, which makes it reasonable enough to appear on Sony’s subscription service as well.

Sony will officially announce next month’s PS Plus games on April 28, 2021.
