At the beginning of the week, the Japanese manufacturer Joetsu Electronic Industries posted on Twitter asking gamers to retweet in order to express their interest in a PS Vita 1000 version of their PS Vita 2000-only accessory that adds L2 and R2 triggers for PS4 remote play. They also mentioned that they would consider the whole week as a reference period.Today they posted the results of the experiment.

"This is Joetsu Electronic Industries. We're grateful. Earlier this week, we asked to retweet our question and we received a favorable reaction with 2246 retweets from Japan and 577 from overseas. Thank you! We'd be glad if many would keep us in mind for the future."

"Of course, we are aware that the number of retweets is not equal to the number of sales. But taking into consideration the fact that our message was able to spark the interest of people, we think it will reflect positively in our internal meeting on the topic. I hope you'll be able to wait for the follow-up, for better or worse. Thank you!"

The company also tweeted in english, promising that they'll seriously consider the results.

I'm quite glad that the result was at least tentatively positive. If this will come out for my old oLED Vita, I'll buy it in a heartbeat.
