PS4 and Xbox One Sold 55 Million Units Combined by the End of 2015, According to Electronic Arts

During Electronic Arts’ quarterly financial conference call CFO Blake Jorgensen talked the company’s estimate for combined installed base of PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

According to the company, both consoles sum up to 55 million units sold as of the end of calendar year 2015. That’s almost 50% higher than in the same time frame during the PS3/Xbox 360 generation.

Considering that the PS4 sits at 35.9 million in Sony’s most recent announcement, this means that the Xbox One should have sold about 19.1 million units. This, of course, assuming that Electronic Arts’ estimate is correct.
