Apparently, Bandai Namco likes to spread different Ace Combat 7 screenshots across press releases for different regions, and a new one appeared today in the announcement for Japan, showing an F-22 with the "FAS" airship that guards the orbital elevator. You can see it above.

But this isn't all. After the news of the return to the old and beloved fictional world Strangereal, fans of the PS2 chapters of the series have one more reason to rejoice.

First of all, Director Kazutoki Kono announced writer Sunao Katabuchi will take care of Ace Combat 7's screenplay. Katabuchi-san wrote the screnplay of Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War, and also took care of the side missions in Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies.

Last but not least, he also confirmed that composer Keiki Kobayashi will return for the game. Kobayashi-san is the man behind the soundtrack of  Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies, Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War, Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War, Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation and Ace Combat: Assault Horizon. He left Bandai Namco in 2014 to work as a freelance.

Don't mind me. I'll just go squeal like a schoolgirl by myself in a corner.
