Today Compile Heart released the first trailer of its visual novel collection Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation HD.

The collection is basically what it says on the tin, including HD remakes of Date A Live: Rinne Utopia and Date A Live: Arusu Install for PS3, and Date A Live Twin Edition: Rio Reincarnation for PS Vita, originally released respectively in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

If you're not familiar with the visual novels, that unfortunately never left Japan, you might know the two Date A Live anime series, aired respectively in 2013 and 2014 and released in North America by Funimation.

The franchise actually started in 2011 as a light novel series (which is still ongoing) by Koshi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako, who is known for the Neptunia games, so it only makes sense that the games are made by Compile Heart.

The collection launches on October 12th in Japan exclusively for PS4. You can check out the trailer below for a glimpse on what it looks like.

Unfortunately, considering that the originals were never localized, a western release might not be very likely, but you never know. A man can hope, right?
