PS4 Exclusive Deep Down Is 60% Complete; Gets New Pictures from Famitsu

This week’s issue of the Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu had a nice article on Capcom’s upcoming PS4 exclusive Deep Down.

We actually get to see it thanks to Twitter users Chiekita and [email protected], who posted pictures. They aren’t actual scans, but you can glimpse a few new screenshots that haven’t been shown before. You can check them out at the beginning of the post.

In the article, Producer Kazunori Sugiura gave an update on the status of development, as reported by the Japanese blog Gamekana.

Sugiura-san mentioned that the version of the game showcased last year at Tokyo Game Show was only 5% complete, and currently Deep Down is 60% complete, with the multiplayer part 40% complete. The reason for that is that the online multiplayer portion of the game takes about five times as much to develop than the rest.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
