Today, the latest issue of weekly Famitsu had a report with the announcement of Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories, coming exclusively for PS4.

The original Disaster Report 4 was canceled years ago following the events of the Tohoku Earthquake, but now we learn that a major reason for the extended period in limbo was that the gameplay simply wasn't up to par.

The team at Granzella based the new game on what they were building at that time, but they revamped the basic gameplay to achieve better quality, and re-created the title from the ground up for PS4.

The game's setting is an unnamed city, visited by the player character that went there seeking a job. During his stay, a disaster strikes, leading him or him and leave many different people.

He'll also have to cope with thirst and hunger caused by the passage of time, and with enhanced survival mechanics.

Below, you can check out the first screenshots, even if you should keep in mind that you're looking at magazine scans, so the quality isn't as good as direct feed.
