PS4 Exclusive Driveclub Won’t Have Head Tracking/3D Support; Drifting Sound Will Change with Weather
We’re definitely going to see more of the upcoming PS4 exclusive racing game Driveclub at Gamescom, but Game Director Paul Rustchynsky saw fit to provide a few more pieces of information before the event on Twitter.
Rustchynsky mentioned that the game won’t support stereoscopic 3D or head tracking via the PlayStation Camera. On the other hand the team is “looking into” creating a a custom sound profile for the PlayStation Gold Headset like those provided for inFAMOUS: Second Son and The Last of Us Remastered.
We also learn that the drifting sound made by cars on the asphalt will change with the weather, as the videos shown so far were just early work in progress.
Personally, I definitely can’t wait to put my hands on a wheel at Gamescom. Considering my earlier encounters the game I’m quite sure I won’t come out disappointed.
