PS4 Exclusive Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture Teases “Amazing Stuff;” Pushing LODs, Framerate and More
The Chinese Room has been working alongside Sony Santa Monica on Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture but the upcoming CryEngine 3 PS4 exclusive adventure is still largely a mystery.
Today the developer took to Twitter to give us a rather teasing update of what’s going on with the game.
Spent most of the day working on the game end, which is coming together really nicely now. Skeleton structure in, next step is draft content

Which is a really dry, dispassionate way of saying we're about to hit something really exciting, and I get to watch amazing stuff appear

Elsewhere in the game, loads of smaller details are starting to emerge that really push the world forwards. Pavements, clouds, more foliage

And the ongoing push on LODs, framerate, AI iteration. Definitely feeling that sense that we're around the biggest corner on the track…

Hopefully, after passing that “biggest corner on the track” we’re going to see the game in action soon. What we’ve witnessed so far (even if it isn’t much) definitely had some lovely atmosphere, and the track record of the studios involved definitely has us excited.
Will Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture become manage to hit that sweet spot between exploration and gameplay? Time will tell, but it’s definitely promising.
