SIE Santa Monica’s new God of War game, which stars an older Kratos in a new Norse mythology setting, will not be at PlayStation Experience 2016, Director Cory Barlog has confirmed.
The news come via a Twitter exchange with a fan who mentions his anticipation to see more God of War footage at PSX.
@mostafayahya0_0 Sadly, I won’t be showing anything of the game at psx, just heading there to hang out with playstation fans and play games.

However, in the same Twitter exchange, Barlog went on to promise that the studio will have something “awesome” to show in the near future.
God of War is in development exclusively for PS4, and currently has no release date/window. It had been speculated it could ship sometime late 2017, however, the absence of it at PSX this year may mean it’s further off than expected. That, or Sony or saving it for another E3 pop. Who knows.
