Sony Computer Entertainment posted a new batch of screenshots and information for New Hot Shots Golf (New Minna no Golf in Japanese) on the Japanese PlayStation blog. The screenshots focus on the 9-hole golf course, the character growing system and the wide range of possible playing styles.

While golf will remain the main activity, players will be able to enjoy other fun activities on "Min GOL Island": fishing, driving a golf cart around and even minigolf! New Hot Shots Golf introduces a new RPG aspect to the game by allowing players to grow their avatar and upgrade their stats according to their liking. When taking on a golf course, you will also be able to either take the conventional road or cheat by using tricks and shortcuts. Both these elements leave players total freedom to develop their own unique playing style and have more fun.

The game is set to be released in Japan in 2016 exclusively on PS4.
