Sega promised news about Valkyria: Azure Revolution this month, and they have delivered with a feature on the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Famitsu, released today.

We get to see Maxim, an Imperial officer who was used as an experiment subject with Ragnite, gaining the ability to use magic in battle.

We also get info on the demo coming with the Valkyria Chronicles Remaster, which will include two different mission: a taining one and an actual battle.

Controls are pretty familiar: at range, you fire with R1, take cover behind sandbags with circle and use a special attack with Square and L1. After closing range, you can attack with magic and different weapons in melee.

Similarly to Valkyria Chronicles, downed allies will have a counter that will lead to their death once expired. If you reach their position before it does, they will survive the battle.

Lastly, we learn that the game's sountrack is composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, who is well known for masterpieces like Xenogears and Chrono Trigger.

You can check out the screenshots and artwork below. As usual, remember that we're looking at magazine scans, therefore the quality isn't as high as that of direct feed screenshots.
