The PS4 firmware update 2.0 "Masamune" will allow you to paint your dashboard in seven different colors on top of the classic blue, and Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia gave us two examples as part of a press release. Yellow (which you can see above) and pink (below).

It's interesting to see that the system tiles will remain blue, even if a slight transparency (which you wouldn't easily notice with the default blue color) will tint them with a slight hue from the background color.

The colors available will be blue, yellow, dark blue, red, teal, lavender, pink and dark grey. It's worth mentioning that those aren't official names, which haven't been disclosed yet.

Update 2.0 will be released on Tuesday, and then we'll probably learn what the blue dot near the online friends count means, as it still hasn't been announced.

Personally, I already know dark grey will be my choice. What about you?
